This is Botopia. A once great technological paradise. It's ruled over by four... uh... Uberbots... that's right. And you've got to get out there and beat them.
- P03 introducing the player to Botopia
Botopia is the map P03 uses to challenge you in Act III. It is a more detailed variant of the Act II map, with an added technological wasteland aesthetic. It is displayed on a holographic tablet, and the player must navigate it by clicking on blue arrows on the edges of the display to change locations. The map features a semi-open world with different encounters represented by red arrows with skulls. Battles now have 5 lanes instead of 4.
The primary objective the player is presented with is defeating the four Uberbots in order to preform The Great Transcendence. P03 does not inform the player of what The Great Transcendence is until the player has defeated all Uberbots and returned to the start. It is then revealed that Botopia was really a cover for P03's plot to upload Inscryption as a video game.
Similarly to the Act II map, Botopia is divided up into four sections.
The Foul Backwater is in the northeast corner of the map, corresponding to Leshy's area from Act II. The boss of this area is The Photographer.
The Filthy Corpse World is in the southeast corner of the map, corresponding to Grimora's area from Act II. The boss of this area is The Archivist.
The Gaudy Gem Land is in the southwest corner of the map, corresponding to Magnificus' area from Act II. The bridge to access it is broken until one of the eastern Uberbots is defeated, after which it is fixed by Rebecha. The boss of this area is The Unfinished Boss.
The Resplendent Bastion is in the northwest corner of the map, corresponding to P03's area from Act II. The bridge to access it is broken until one of the eastern Uberbots is defeated, after which it is fixed by Rebecha. However, the Resplendent Bastion is still not available even then, first requiring the player to activate the satellite dish at the foot of Magnificus' tower to unlock a gate blocking entry. The boss of this area is Golly.
