Rare cards, as their name suggests, are harder to obtain cards in Act I and Act II of Inscryption. They often have unique abilities that are not contained in sigils, and are intended to outclass other cards that are not Rare.
Obtaining[]
Act I[]
The player is given a choice between 3 Rare cards after defeating the Prospector, the Angler and the Trapper.
Golden Pelts can be traded with the Trader in exchange for Rare cards.
A Pack Rat can be obtained upon visiting the 'gain consumables' event if the player already has the maximum number of items.
An Amalgam with an added sigil can be acquired after visiting the 'build totem' event if the player already has the maximum number of totem pieces allowed.
Act II[]
A single Rare card will be given per card pack opened. It will always be from the respective type, such as a Beast Rare card from a Beastly card pack.
Individual Rare cards can be bought from the Trader with Foils.
The Great Kraken and Drowned Soul Rare cards can be found in special areas around the world.
There are no rare cards in Act III or the finale.
