The Clover is a Non-consumable Item that can be used in Act I and Act II of Inscryption, as well as Kaycee's Mod.
In Act I, it is obtained by completing the first painting puzzle. When brought to the table, Leshy will remark that the player must not like the cards he gives them; From then on, it can be used at various events to generate a new set of three cards to choose from.
- At a standard Card Choice node or a Deathcard Choice node, the clover will draw three new cards to choose from.
- At a Cost Choice or a Tribe Choice node, the clover must be used before selecting a cost or a tribe. It will generate a new set of costs or tribes to choose from, but the player still cannot see what creature they will get from each card; Selecting a cost or a tribe will remove the clover, and the player will be forced to take the card they turned over.
- The clover cannot be used during a Deck Trial, neither to choose a new set of trials nor to draw new inhabited creatures after a successful trial.
In Act II, the player can pick up the clover from the docks west of Leshy's woods. After collecting it, it appears at the start of a battle to the left of the player's hand, and may be used to redraw the opening hand if needed. Playing any card will remove it, and it may only be used once per battle.
In Kaycee's Mod, the clover is unlocked by default, and behaves identically to its appearance in Act I. However, the Cloverless Challenge Skull will remove it from the run, similar to its absence before it is unlocked from the painting. The first time that a Choice node is reached while this challenge is selected, Leshy will remark on its absence, wondering where he misplaced it.
