Kaycee Hobbes is a notable character in Inscryption.
Kaycee was a former GameFuna employee who previously owned the floppy disk that contains the Inscryption game and OLD_DATA. The Entries in Kaycee's Mod reveal that Kaycee was a lonely person with few close connections, leading to her relationship with Leshy being a key point as to why she did not destroy the disk after learning about the Karnoffel code, instead choosing to bury it and write the coordinates down on one of the physical Inscryption cards which were then sold to Luke Carder by her mother.
She was injured in a fire at her workplace and later passed away from the incident's health complications. It can be assumed that paramedics failed to reanimate her, if we believe the tombstone of Grimora's subordinate based on her.

- The card is a 1 Power 2 Health card that costs 1 Blood, with the Bifurcated Strike and Sharp Quills sigils.
- The combination of the card's stats and sigils spells ‘1212' (Bifurcated Strike makes attacks go 2 ways and the symbol for Sharp quills contains the number 1), this number is known as the angel number and is often associated with many positive things.
- In Act II, Kaycee is a skeleton opponent in the tomb of the Scrybe of the Dead. Her death is depicted by a skeleton with a large chunk of ice embedded in its skull.
- Her completed epitaph reads: "Kaycee Hobbes, 1970 - Winter 1992. Hit by a falling piece of ice. The defibrillator failed."
- Kaycee is the ghoul tasked with bringing OLD_DATA from the well behind her by Grimora.
- As revealed through Kaycee's Mod, the skull on the back wall of Leshy's cabin in Act I is the Kaycee Hobbes ghoul's skull.
- She is possibly also depicted in the secret image above the lake near Leshy's Cabin.

- In Act III:
- 'Kaycee' and 'Hobbes' occasionally appear as names for Bounty Hunters. It is also possible for a Bounty Hunter to be named Kaycee Hobbes.
- Kaycee is also referenced by the Trader during a holo pelt trade dialogue when III: The Empress is selected.
- Kaycee's Ghoul is also tasked with melting the ice when you meet it. She says that "a little bit of heat should do the trick.", after which P03 laughs at this due to her dying from a fire.

- Kaycee's Entries appear throughout the game mode after certain Challenge Point requirements have been met, revealing her story with the game and its development.

- Although Kaycee isn't shown directly in the game, it's possible to deduct her physical appearance through various instances in the game and its files.[1]
- Her hair appears to be very messy, both on her sprite and her death card, possibly due to her indoors lifestyle. It's just above shoulder length, with the back of her hair longer than the sides. According to her sprite colors. she's red haired and pale.
- Her tarot card depicts her as possibly chubby, by including a noticeably more pronounced stomach than other skeletons in the tarot cards.
- In her sprite, she's wearing a jacket in a warm shade of brown and brown pants, while her tarot card is wearing something resembling a hoodie.

- According to Kaycee's ghoul's tombstone, it was born in 1970 and died in Winter of 1992, at just 22 years old. It's unlikely that these are Kaycee Hobbe's real dates of birth and death, as she was present during the time YouTube was around, as described in her Kaycee's Mod Entries. If we assume the card youtuber she met at the game store was Luke Carder, she was still alive around 2009.[2]
- It is unknown why Kaycee dies to ice in-game but dies to fire-related complications in real life.
