Magnificus' Tower is an area in Act II. Enemies in this area mainly use Magickal cards.

First Floor (Emerald)[]

On this floor, there are 3 doors. The door at the bottom leads outside, and the door to the left is locked, but has stairs behind it. On the floor is a message left by Magnificus. In the centre of the room is the Emerald Totem (not to be confused with the Totems that the Woodcarver creates). The door to the right leads to a separate room with The Trader inside selling Magickal cards and card packs. Also in this separate room is a book which shows all the cards you have collected in Act II.

A puzzle must be solved here to fight the first disciple and be allowed to climb up to the next floor.

Puzzle[]

The note on the floor reads:

"Greetings. If you are reading this, it must be because you want to challenge me, Magnificus to a card battle.

But in order to earn that privilege, you must first defeat my 3 graduate students.

As for their whereabouts, that is for you to discover... Sincerely, Magnificus.

After reading the note, you must pick up the monocle on the table, and read the note again. Now, the first part of the note will have the Ruby Heart sigil, the second part will have the Airborne sigil, and the third part will also have the Ruby Heart sigil. Entering these sigils in this order into the Emerald Totem will unlock the Goo Mage (Goobert) fight. After defeating him, the door with the stairs behind it will unlock, and you can progress to the next floor.


Second Floor (Ruby)[]

On this floor, there are 2 doors. One leads back down to the previous floor, and one is locked, but behind it is the stairs to the next floor. There is a Training Dummy, standing there. There is also a chest with a Magickal Card Pack inside, along with a heap of sharp implements. In the middle of the room is the Ruby Totem. At the bottom of the room is a hole in the floor which is quick access to Floor 1.

A puzzle must be solved here to fight the second disciple and be allowed to climb up to the next floor.

Puzzle[]

First, the player must fight The Training Dummy.

Instead of trying to beat the dummy instantly, the player must focus on destroying the opponent cards. After the first one is destroyed, further deployed cards on the dummy's side will show colored sigils, Ruby Heart, Hefty, and Airborne. More information on the Training Dummy's page. Inputting these sigils in this order into the Ruby Totem will unlock The Pike Mage battle. After defeating her, the door with the stairs behind it will unlock, and you can progress to the next floor.

Third Floor (Sapphire)[]

On this floor there are 2 doors, one which leads back to Floor 2, and a locked one that has stairs behind it. There is one chest with a single rabbit in it. There are also 3 notes on the floor. In the centre of the room is the Sapphire Totem. At the bottom of the room is a hole in the floor which is quick access to floor 1.

A puzzle must be solved here to fight the third and final disciple and be allowed to climb up to the next floor.

Puzzle[]

To obtain the 3 sigils for the totem, the player must read the notes on the floor. They say:

  • "The top sigil is found by the greedy."
  • "The middle sigil is found by the pale."
  • "The bottom sigil is found by the hard of hearing... or by those who hear too easily."

The top sigil is found by re-examining the chest after receiving a rabbit. The sigil is Airborne. The middle sigil is found by going to the top left of the room where there is invisible access to a secret space which has the Ruby Heart sigil in it. The bottom sigil is found by going into the sound menu. The sigil is Bone Digger. Inputting these sigils in this order into the Sapphire Totem will unlock The Lonely Wizard battle. After defeating them, the door with the stairs behind it will unlock, and you can progress to the final floor.


Fourth Floor (Magnificus)[]

On this floor, there are 2 doors. The one on the left leads down to Floor 3. On the right can be found a bathroom. In the main room, there is a table with a note on it. There is also an easel with a strange drawing on it. At the top of the room is Magnificus.

After spending some time in the bathroom, a small tentacle will appear, clicking on it here (it disappears once clicked) and one near the boat next to Leshy's Cabin will give you the Great Kraken card.

After defeating Magnificus, he will speak to you, but he will be cut off and glitched out, and then he disappears.

The note reads:

"Dearest Grimora,

I believe P03's plot may go far past the extent of a simple power grab.

Indeed, this "Great Transcendence" will have catastrophic and unpredictable results." The note is incomplete and ends abruptly.
