Take the film roll. Before he sees it! NOW!
Stunted Wolf
The Stunted Wolf is a Talking Card in Act I of Inscryption.
After obtaining it, the Stunted Wolf will replace the remaining Wolf in your starter deck.
Obtaining the Stunted Wolf[]
The Stunted Wolf can be found in the bottom compartment of the cuckoo clock in Leshy's Cabin, accessed by inputting a specific time on the clock. If the player hasn't completed one of the steps to this puzzle after enough deaths, they will see a cutscene where Magnificus shows them the next step.
Below are the steps in order to see the time the cuckoo clock must be set to:
- Complete the Wardrobe Puzzle to obtain the Caged Wolf card.
- Have this card die in battle or be sacrificed to The Bone Lord. This will cause the room to shake, and once you are out of battle you will be able to see that the cage around the wolf statue has broken down.
- Pick up the wolf statue, and place it on your right, next to the squirrel statue. This will cause the squirrel to release the Special Dagger from its grasp.
- Click the dagger to bring it to the table, it will be available from the beginning of every run.
- Use the dagger during a battle. This will cause the player to gouge their right eye out and put it on the balance, netting you four points of damage to the opponent. Your vision will be impaired for the rest of the battle.
- At the end of the battle, Leshy will let you choose a new eye from a box. Choose the one with glowing green symbols on it (this eye only appears after your second death).
- Once you have chosen this eye, you will begin to see secret markings. Get up from the table and go to the clock. You will now see markings for the time you have to set on the clock.
- Input the time indicated by the markings to open the bottom compartment. Inside is the Stunted Wolf and the film roll.
Strategy[]
The Stunted Wolf is a cheaper and slightly less powerful version of the standard Wolf card. As it only costs 1 Blood, however, it is more versatile and easier to use. As a result, any benefits that can be made to a Wolf card can be applied to the Stunted Wolf as well. It benefits greatly from the Campfire, since a single Power buff makes it equal in strength to a Wolf.
Trivia[]
- This card is Magnificus, the Scrybe of Magicks. As the player progresses, this card's appearance gradually changes to resemble him.
- The eye used to obtain it is Magnificus's eye, and by extension Stunted Wolf's eye.
- Stunted Wolf is the only non-deathcard card that naturally costs 1 Blood to have more than 1 Power.
