The Woodlands is one of the four locations traversed in Act I. It is the first of the four locations in the base game. Encounters in the Woodlands consist primarily of cards belonging to the Avian, Canine, and Hooved Tribes.
In the main game, this is the only location where The Prospector's event occurs.
The boss battle at the end of the Woodlands is The Prospector.

- Pine needles crunched beneath your feet... You drew in a breath of the fresh scented air... You were embraced by... the Woodlands.
- You beheld the beauty of the dawn... Only a faint clinking sound ahead could distract you from the sight... You set out upon... the Woodlands.
- You heard the howling of wolves, greeting the morning sun... The sight of a nearby coyote caused you to quicken your pace... You had reached... the Woodlands.
The first time the Woodlands are reached in Kaycee's Mod, Leshy says the following before giving his introduction:
